Sandcastles built in solidarity
Ephemeral whimsical amusement
Left unattended, cracks galore
An afterthought, sand grains floating away
 
Sandcastles, questionable and bewildered
Continues to fade away
 
Then ...
 
Amidst rock fortresses and ocean caves
The gentlest of moons
Transcends to the ever-glowing sunrise
Transitioning peacefully to a three-color sunset
 
Harmonizing winds
Waves of jubilee
Sandcastles filled with purpose and cracks
Ready to rise when called upon
