Coefficient of digestibility simply means the percentage of food that is digested, and is used for energy. For instance, we have our macro nutrients, in which we digest differently. This also implies that different foods have different coefficients. So, rule of thumb. Carbs and fats have higher percentage of energy absorption (coefficients) vs. proteins. In ranking, from highest to lowest absorption, you will have Carbs, Fats, and Proteins.
