The fundamental basis of physical fitness assessment is done through Cardiorespiratory Fitness (“CRF”), as it affects all health components. Our goal should be to maximize our cardiorespiratory health and there are different types of aerobic training that can help promote good cardiovascular health. Typically you have either steady-state or interval training; Steady state has a set pace without variation resistance or factors, with little variation in heart rate (HR), while interval uses different resistances and speeds, has higher perceived stress, and has a variation in our heart rate.
