Yield to Maturity (YTM) is the internal rate of return on Cash Flows. Three assumptions to always consider are:

• Investors hold the bond to maturity;
• Issuer makes all the coupon and principal payments on scheduled dates;
• Investor can reinvest coupon payments at that same yield.
