Acquirers thirst for knowledge. They get their name because of their demand to acquire education and new skills. They seek out opportunities to speak on new experiences. Discussing philosophy and questioning most things are natural to them.
They are very talented individuals because of their continual motive to know more. They often relate more knowledge, to more power. They often volunteer to take on insightful and thought provoking challenges, and squeeze as much awareness in any situation. They later build on new skills, by committing time to understanding the deeper meaning. But as acquirers are skilled in discovering answers to very complex questions, they often find difficulty in dealing with simplicity. Relatively speaking, simple facts or situations does not drive their motivation, and as a result, they bypass such situations when possible. This can often be a detriment to their development because they take the fundamentals for granted (or find a way of complicating something that does not require much thought). Leaders need to have strong elements of an acquirer. They need to be aware and realize that they know what they know. And if they don’t know, they should then be aware that they will need to find someone who does know. Therefore, the best leaders know what they should know. They consequently, form the right team to best position themselves for success. The best leaders, however, embrace simplicity. They then are able to pick out the most critical information that provides answers, guide his team, and defer to an expert when need be.
