In our most fundamental state, it is self-evident that humans are creatures of habit. We have heard that statement reverberate in our society, but for the most part, it is valid. Whether based on objective experimentation or subjective perception, we can almost assure that the majority (we never say everyone to avoid hyperbole) have sacred routines. That is not a bad thing.
However, what delays progress and innovation is when we overproduce or exasperate those routines. We would like to picture it like a seesaw. We all need comfort to promote change, but when we tip the scale, we are compromising efficiency through overcompensating our day with, again, those routines.
