It is maybe as easy as taking a couple steps back, breathing, and asking “why”.
Life is hard to understand. Just thinking about it, the word “Life” itself is hard to define. And why do we get stressed? Why do we sometimes want to scream? Or even a better question, why do we put ourselves in that position? We all make choices and have the ability to do so, which is one of the things about “Life” that should be beautiful. We can choose to study, workout, go out, or stay in. We can choose to get married or have children. We can even choose our profession. But sometimes we all get distressed. For example, does work stress us out? If you truly dislike the job you spend a material amount of hours every day, take a step back, breathe, and come up with different actions that will lead to sustainable and advantageous happiness. Is your family dynamic distressful? If family issues are occurring, take a step back, breathe, and ask whether the imbalance is worth any argument. Ask yourself why you started your family. More importantly, ask what is more important than your family and/or friends. We can ensure you that list would be short. We are not saying that adopting this perspective is an overnight thing. But it takes one night to take a couple steps back, breathe, and begin making choices that would make you happier. The solution is simple, which itself is the essence of happiness. People should marry because of love. People should make their work a calling they love. People should want to study to be more aware. People should want to go out to have fun. People should buy a house because it would be home. We do understand that sometimes the “unexpected” can occur, which causes distress. There will be hardships that test us, which may make us lose our faith. We all have experienced it. But we can choose to celebrate the great. We always hear that “life gets in the way”. But, we should make our way in life. We should make choices that make us feel good. Time, whether it is an illusion or a finite reality, becomes more precious as it ages. Let us not waste our precious time in distress. Let us celebrate our choices and ensure it is what we really want. Let us be hungry to aspire for happiness, humble to inspire others, and then watch how success follows. “Life” is a hard thing to get our minds around, but by taking a couple steps back, breathing, and asking “why”, we can get closer to comprehending it. It just maybe the thing, which allows us to take the proverbial leap towards happiness.
