A stimulator is a person with an almost uncontrollable desire to take immediate action. They tend to believe that only actions have the true ability to effect change. The fear of the “unknown” does not really hinder their ability to carry out a strategy. They feel that if they do not put themselves out there, they are delaying progress.
They pride themselves on the choices they make and often go by their gut. They do understand the merit of analyzing a situation, but they are relatively quick in believing that analysis becomes paralysis. Stimulators are very tenacious and energetic. They often skew towards their beliefs and pride themselves on practical experiential learnings. However, stimulators can often be impatient. Radical stimulators often fail to be leaders because they do not look at the whole picture. They would go with the quickest solution rather than trying to look at root causes and then construct a game plan. Nevertheless, the best leaders of our world have a lot of stimulator qualities. They have an uncanny ability in balancing when to take immediate action or not. They understand there environment and know when to leverage momentum. In matter of fact, leaders often partner with radical stimulators because when leaders finally act on a thought, they would lean on the radical stimulators to put their plan to action. The best leaders are often “moderate” stimulators.
