The Secret To Living A Happy Life, Should Be No Secret At All

​Saludos World. The secret to living a happy life, should be no secret at all.
 
I believe everyone has a guardian angel. And that spirit, in whatever form it may come, is there to serve one purpose. It is to simply guide us to our answer in life. And that is the understanding that wherever we are in life, to always be appreciative. It is to be appreciative and always, have a positive attitude.
 
Because for one, that is truly the only part of our lives that we can control. Being positive regardless of wherever we come from. And being appreciative is the most empowering discovery any human can come across.
 
Regardless of the resources or capabilities you have in your life, knowing our ability to love, and sacrifice for what we love most, is the most important concept in our world. And it stems from our humility to give, and our hunger to want more for “us”.
 
Because it has never been about me or you, but always, about “us”.
 
I’m appreciative for what I have physically. I can choose to take the stairs or the elevator. Some don’t have that privilege. I can choose to play whatever sport I want. Being able to see the colors in this world. To hear the wind. To smell and taste food. To have the sense of touch. Some don’t have that privilege. Brushing my teeth, getting dressed, or even getting in bed, are my simplest routines in life. For some, that is the ultimate challenge they must face every day. So, for that, yes, I am beyond appreciative for this privilege.  
 
I’m appreciative for what I have mentally. I can communicate my thoughts almost instantaneously. For that, I am privileged. I can write this post seamlessly, read a book seamlessly, process my thoughts seamlessly. But for others, they face the real challenge of focusing. Of not being understood, because they think “differently”.  You know what… I am privileged to be able to speak my mind.
 
Because I can use this platform and say, there is nothing wrong with anyone. People who undergo the challenge of having to fight battles with their mind, are even more strong willed. So yes, I am privileged to be able to use my mental faculties to stand up and say, we are all equals, regardless of how we communicate, move, walk, read, or write.
 
You know what, I am beyond proud of what I have done socially, professionally, academically, and in sports. I am super proud of what I have accomplished. But something I am even more proud of, is humbling myself to learn from others. And really hear them out. To those who had to fight. Really fight. Fight for food and water. Fight for the chance. Fight to be heard. Fight to live.
 
I had to fight. I had to fight to be able to sympathize with those who had it beyond tougher than me. And are still able to succeed. I am privileged to be able to make a promise, which is to make the world a better place. Because I know that with the opportunities I had, which aren’t the greatest in the world, but again aren’t the smallest, wonderful things will be achieved.
 
But I haven’t told you what makes all this possible. At least for me. What makes me really stay positive every day. What allows me to really control my attitude. My secret. My sword. My purpose. And it is what I am most appreciative for in this world.
 
And that is LOVE.
 
Love that comes in a myriad of forms, that I have lost count. My Wife, who also happens to be my partner in crime, my guardian angel in human form, and my best friend. From waking up and sleeping next to my wife, every day, madly in love, ever more so than the first time I met her. And trust me, it was love at first sight.  My kids. Doesn’t take much to realize how much they become your world. From my parents and grandparents. The support they gave me since Day 1. That makes me lucky.  
 
And with that support, that is something I will always bestow on my kids, and anyone I will ever encounter. My siblings and relatives. My friends. All who are there to love you whether things are going great or not as great. From those who have made the world a better place, and those who continue to have the intention to do so.
 
From birthday wishes to get well soon wishes. From “great jobs” to “I got your back”.
 
The secret to living a happy life, should be no secret at all. Love and Happiness is synonymous to your Humility, Hunger, Appreciation, and Attitude. Know that in one way, shape, or form, we are all privileged.
 
If you ever have had the thought of what in Spanish is called “incertidumbre” (or incertitude), know one thing for certain. And that is the certainty of your purpose to love and the certainty of your mission for happiness. And of course, the certainty, that you, and only you can control your love and attitude. For that, I am certain.
