Why Is Grip Important?

• Width of the grip is a topic of preference;
• Balanced grip will also balance the force between shoulders and triceps;
• Wider the grip, the larger the force on the shoulders;
• Narrower the grip, the larger the force on the triceps/elbows;
• You may wrap your thumb around the bar or leaving it open (this is called as the "suicide");​
• Key to understanding the grip is knowing what feels "right" for your body, and please avoid injury.
