Posterior pelvic tilt is used during the abdominal exercises targeting the rectus abdominis. The minimum degree of trunk flexion during the abdominal curl-up should be 30 degrees. Another interesting note on the posterior pelvic tilt - the end range of motion for the back squat can be determined by a posterior pelvic tilt.
