High Glycemic Index Carbs or High GI Carbs, spike your insulin levels, in which are one of the most anabolic hormones in our bodies. So, it is not necessary to exclude these all together. We are not saying go eat two pounds of rice after bingeing on Netflix for 8 hours. But, it is best to consume High GI carbs after a High Intensity Workout, where the nutrients help enter the bloodstream quickly, acting your body to spike insulin levels and speed recovery. And the more you recover, the faster you repair, allowing yourself to grow your athleticism and built. So, you don’t need to stop eating rice or potatoes. Preferably, just eat them after a workout.
