We have talked previously how the nervous system is what guides the ability to maintain motion and stimulate movement. Then with this in mind, you may have heard the concepts of isolation leading to contraction. That basically is the gist of The Mind-Muscle connection. Ultimately, to properly "master" the mind-muscle connection is executing movements by isolating a specific muscle or group and "feeling every movement" through the rep. A strong mind-muscle connection allows you to understand the muscle contraction pattern. They say, you will be able to the "elongation effect", as you return the weight to the start position. So go ahead, practice your flexing, finish a workout with a machine, and slow motion your reps. Master the Mind-Muscle Connection.
