Cardio sometimes gets a bad rep, as some gym “enthusiasts” will kindly remind you that if , “you run a lot, you won’t get big”. Well that is not entirely true. A moderate workout of cardio can produce fat burning results, while still sustaining muscle growth. But there is truth to “overdoing it” in your cardio routine. To optimize muscle hypertrophy, you shouldn’t do more than 35 minutes, during weight training. If you are set to play a sport or do more of a cardio routine, it is said to best separate it for another day, when you are not weight training.
