Folks typically try to find ways to be stronger, jump higher, run faster, and be more agile. Essentially, all of that requires performance training. Beets are noted to be high in nitrates, and the nitrates in beets have been shown to be transformed to nitric oxide. Nitric oxide helps increase blood flow, lung functions, and helps with muscle contractions. Therefore, beets help with both aerobic (cardiovascular) endurance and power/performance training.
