Pulmonary Embolism (PE) is a type of venous thromboembolism (you can refer to the article here), when a Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) break from the vein wall and travel to the lungs. Implications with this is that the breakage will block some or all of the oxygen supply. The thighs are more susceptible with PE than the lower part of the legs.
